After relocating to the USA with her family in 2018, she has become a leading authority on specialist forensic laboratory design, equipment procurement, staff training, workflow optimization, and capacity building for law enforcement agencies worldwide.She holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Exeter and retains the lifetime title of Justice of the Peace, following ten years of service as a UK Magistrate. Katherine’s connection to AFAR began through her son, James, who has enthusiastically participated in several AFAR projects and conferences in Portugal, Belize, and Canada. Inspired by his passion for the organization’s mission, Katherine volunteered her expertise in project planning to support AFAR’s ongoing development.
