Harri Kettunen
Harri Kettunen has carried out interdisciplinary research projects on Mesoamerican-related topics, bringing together perspectives from anthropology, archaeology, art history, codicology, epigraphy, ethnobiology, history, and linguistics. His publications range from textbooks on Maya hieroglyphs to methodological studies on iconography, as well as interdisciplinary articles on subjects such as the Columbian exchange, biodiversity, and Indigenous warfare in the Americas. Harri is Adjunct Professor of Latin American Studies and Coordinator of the Helsinki Term Bank for the Arts and Sciences. He is also founding member of the Teachers’ Academy at the University of Helsinki, co-founder of the Finnish Interdisciplinary Society, and President of the European Association of Mayanists, Wayeb.
