Carl earned an undergraduate degree from Belmont Abbey, a Master Degree from Glassboro College of New Jersey, and completed his doctoral work at Nova University, FL. With his wife, Barbara, he has two daughters and five grandchildren.

Barbara Nelson retired from Apple after 25 years in various positions focused on increasing the technology tools available to educators and their students. Nelson received an undergraduate, graduate, and PHD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She currently resides in Rutherfordton, NC.
